Voyage

Voyage is a collection of poems started in July 2021, and released in varying order from 24th July 2022 – the date that the ‘first anniversaries’ started to happen around our mother’s final illness and subsequent death at home. Writing has been sparse in the year, but what there has been is deep – and I am not sure if the meaning or power will be felt by others. However, Mum was never one for not taking a risk. So poems, relating to this journey over the next 2 months will bear this logo – ship – a journey – and her particular collection was viking ships – she had a fleet of broaches and pendants which still are in harbour . One day, probably sooner rather than later, we’ll release them to where she wanted them to go.

August 2023 – in the 2 year anniversary time. Although a different intensity, similar themes, so will add them as they arise. The fleet is still majority intact. Two intrepid pieces have started their own journey.
