Build me a poem
Every time they leave

The grieving of their leaving

April 7, 2019April 7, 2019
Written by Jo Hansen

Today,

Over 2 years since you left for your new adventure

To college and beyond,

I cleared the paint brushes from the shelf in the scullery

Into your cupboard.

I needed space and I suddenly realised

With a heart aching lurch

That your departure

Was real

And that you would not be coming back.
