Hold your nerve, and carry on
That last breath

War widow

November 9, 2025
Written by Jo Hansen

Gaunt, remotely erect,

Hands rigid by your side,

You stand with those select

To mark that he has died.

Eyes, flint-like, will betray

Little to a quick glance

But close to, your lips, grey,

Bely your fight with chance.

Remembrance Sunday 2025
