With your passing
The threat has become real.
The last 4 weeks of preparation,
And a lifetime of understanding
And working
Amongst the frail, the ill, the dying
Does not soften the impact.
Today a friend and colleague
Has died from covid19.
United in loss, we grieve apart,
Isolated
In our separate houses,
And confront what lies ahead.
