Look for it
In the halo of light around a candle,
In the shining fairylit face of a toddler,
In the streetlights dancing in the December wind,
In the reflections of a tree, of a tree, of a tree
In the hall mirror, lit simply in white lights.
And in the miraculous red admiral butterfly
Fluttering outside the back door this frosty dawn morning;
Is it, too, looking for the manger?
