Every time they leave
City street fall – thankyou stranger

Sunday heart tug

April 12, 2019June 30, 2019
Written by Jo Hansen

He melts into the town swiftly and silently.

One minute he’s our son,

Negotiating the day’s boundary;

The next, the card door slams

And he’s left.

In the time it takes

To glance illicitly in the mirror

For a mother’s last glimpse,

He’s gone.
